On Friday, March 2, The Meeting Place will hold a fish fry fundraiser for the Polk County Senior Centers.

From 4 to 7 p.m., meals will be served in Columbus at 75 Carmel Lane (formerly the Classical School).

The meal will include hush puppies, coleslaw, baked potato, fresh, homemade dessert and a drink. It will be available as eat-in or take-out.

In addition, those who choose to eat in may enjoy the bluegrass music of the local musicians of Colt Creek Band, led by Saluda — native James Metcalf. Music begins at 5 p.m.

Funds raised by this event will be used to enhance The Meeting Place’s meal programs, support their garden project and subsidize their trips and outreach events.
