During the month of January 2018, the Saluda Police Department answered 71 calls for service.  

There were six arrests, including one on a warrant, two driving while license revoked and two drug charges, 32 state citations issued, six city citations, 41 warning tickets and 23 suspicious person/vehicle calls.  

The department responded to one accident, one larceny, 10 welfare checks, five alarms, one open door, assisted the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, the Columbus Police Department, the N.C. Highway Patrol and the Saluda Fire Department and patrolled 4,206 miles.
