Columbus Fire Department January report

During the month of January 2018, the Columbus Police Department answered 135 calls for service.
In the Town of Columbus, the department answered 42 calls, including 16 medical assists, three emergency medical service, two EMS calls, two motor vehicle accidents with injuries, two motor vehicle accidents with no injuries, two hazardous condition, one gasoline or other flammable liquid spill, one service call, one person in distress, two public service assistance, one assist police or other governmental agency, two public service, one dispatched and cancelled en route, two false alarm, one CO detector activation and one sprinkler activation, no fire.
In the Columbus Township, the department answered 72 calls, including one fire/other, one building fire, one brush fire, one grass fire, 27 medical assists, four EMS calls, one motor vehicle accident with injuries, eight motor vehicle accidents with no injuries, four hazardous condition, one gasoline or other flammable liquid spill, one service call, one person in distress, one water problems, one public service assistance, one assist police or other governmental agency, two public service, five dispatched and cancelled en route, one no incident found, two smoke scare, three system malfunction, one smoke detector activation due to malfunction, two smoke detector activation, no fire-unintentional and one special type of incident.
In the Green Creek Township, the department answered two calls that were dispatched and cancelled en route.
In Landrum’s district, the department answered one call for a motor vehicle accident with no injuries.
In Mill Spring, the department answered six calls, including one building fire, one brush fire, one grass fire, one EMS call, one overheated motor and one arcing-shorted electrical equipment.
In Saluda, the department answered three calls, including one motor vehicle accident with injuries and two dispatched and cancelled en route.
In Sunny View, the department answered one call for smoke scare.
In Tryon, the department answered six calls, including one building fire, two service calls and three dispatched and cancelled en route.
