Susan Carol Morales, age 66, of Tryon, passed away Feb. 7, 2018, at Rutherford Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Sacramento, California, to the late Tony Morales and Mary Sue Breshears. Susan was of the BaptistFaith. She was retired from the Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville, North Carolina and served her country as a U.S. Navy Veteran. 

Survivors include her mother, Mary Sue Breshears of Tryon; daughter, Tammy Sue Farmer of Summerville, South Carolina; brother, Michael A. Morales of Landrum, South Carolina; sister, Cynthia Miles of Rocklin, California; three grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Funeral service with military honors will be at noon Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018, at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain.
