LANDRUM – “Love Landrum” is the new saying around town these days. The City of Landrum in partnership with the Landrum Area Business Association (LABA) is sponsoring a new marketing plan.

Landrum City Administrator, Rich Caplan, said the new tag line is on a total of 24 news banners being placed around town and two billboards on Interstate 26.

“Everybody loves Landrum for different reasons,” Caplan said who explained the saying was the inspiration of the LABA marketing team and Our Carolina Foothills.

The banners will replace the old ones with the line, “Welcome to Landrum,” which are more than 10 years old. They will be placed on Trade Ave., E Rutherford and Highway 176.

The city will also replace the current advertisement on the two billboards on I–26 of a picture of Landrum and the slogan, “eats, antiques and boutiques,” with the new “Love Landrum” tag line. Other places the new tag line is being used are the new brochures and the visitlandrumsc.com web site. It is also available for area businesses to use in their marketing.

The town has an annual contract for the billboards that costs $800 a month. The billboards are located between Landrum and Campobello on the westbound side of I–26 and near the Saluda exit on the eastbound side of I-26.

The banners cost $30 each. All costs are paid for through the town’s hospitality fund.
