Caroline Rollins in recital at Holy Cross

Caroline Rollins, mezzo soprano, and Susan Lyle, piano, will perform on the Bach’s Lunch Wednesdays at Noon Lenten Recital Series on February 21, 2018, 12:00 noon, at Holy Cross Episcopal Church, Tryon, NC. The program will open with The Call (from The Five Mystical Songs) by Ralph Vaughan Williams; two selections from Sea Pictures, by Edward Elgar; Vocalise (from 14 Romances, Op. 3) by Sergei Rachmaninoff; two songs from Let Us Garlands Bring by Gerald Finzi; and folksong settings by Benjamin Britten.

A lifetime singer and student of music, Caroline has achieved the Royal School of Church Music (RSCM) bronze, silver, and gold standards. She is a practicing attorney in South Carolina.

Susan Lyle has been a member of the faculty at Converse College for 22 years. Dr. Lyle is an active solo performer, choral conductor, and voice teacher, and is the Director of Music/Organist for the Congregational Church (United Church of Christ) in Tryon.
