COLUMBUS-Polk County Commissioner Chair Jake Johnson will be available to speak to residents one-on-one by offering office hours once a month beginning Feb. 28.
Johnson, who was appointed chairman of the board of commissioners in December after being the high-vote getter during the 2016 election, will begin his office hours on Wednesday, Feb. 28 from 10 a.m. – noon.
Johnson plans to have office hours every last Wednesday of the month.
Johnson said it will be a great time for any residents in the county to sit down one-on-one with him to discuss any questions, concerns or issues. Or, he said, if a resident thinks something needs attention, he could bring those issues back to the full board.
“This will provide a unique opportunity for citizens to have their voices heard and play a role in local government,” said Johnson.
Johnson’s office will be located on the second floor of the Womack building in Columbus.
