I have the best volunteer job in Polk County.  I deliver Meals on Wheels to ten families in Polk County. I arrive at the Meeting Place by 10:30 a.m., one day a week, to pick up the meals that have been prepared for my designated route. The clients receive a nourishing meal and I receive hugs, smiles and blessings. Plus, I’ve discovered parts of our beautiful Polk County that I hadn’t seen before.

Additional volunteers are needed to deliver Meals on Wheels to senior citizens in our county.  If you have a couple of hours once a week or once a month, call the Meeting Place to volunteer, 894-0001.  If you aren’t able to deliver Meals on Wheels, they have other volunteer positions.
