Tryon Little Theater announces cast for “Kiss Me, Kate”

Tryon Little Theater is pleased to announce the cast for the upcoming show, “Kiss Me, Kate.”

The masterful Director Dan Harvey returns for “Kiss Me, Kate.” You may remember him from “The Lazy Chaperone.” Talented Pam McNeil demonstrates her amazing expertise as musical director. The capable, unflappable Jody McPherson holds it all together as the stage manager/producer. Energetic Missy Fincher challenges the dancers. Michelle Fleming creates fashion statements with her costumes. Dietrich Jackson will reveal all with his tasteful lighting. An incredible set designer, Lindsey Moore, and his wonderful supporting group of builders and artists, are already at work. The actors, dancers and singers continue to rehearse as they dodge the snowy weather.

“Passions run high as leading lady Lilli Vanessi and her ex-husband actor/director Fred Graham battle onstage and off in a production of Shakespeare’s ‘Taming of the Shrew,’” says Dan Harvey. “With romance, comedy, sophistication, and behind-the-scenes high jinx, “Kiss Me, Kate” combines the irreverent humor of two brilliant writers, Cole Porter and William Shakespeare. A wonderfully talented cast made up of 24 actors from North and South Carolina, ‘Kiss Me, Kate’ should bring enjoyment to all audiences.”
