Lose your heart at FHS Valentine’s adoption event

“One goes home and two arrive, so it seems at times,” says Christine Taylor, Foothills Humane Society executive director. “We’ve had a number puppies and kittens come in as well as the usual influx of strayed, rescued, and surrendered dogs and cats. We have a big selection of sizes, ages, colors and we’re adding incentives to make the Valentine’s Adoption Event at the shelter a success on Saturday, Feb. 10, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.”

Private, non-profit, no-kill, Foothills Humane Society does not euthanize for space. The only option is adoption.

Susan Wallahora, FHS board president, continues, “Trained staff who really know the animals will provide personal matchmaking for adopters and the many dogs and cats who will be begging for attention and ‘to take me, take me.’ Refreshments will also be served throughout the day.”

Kayla Parrish, professional trainer and owner of 2 Lead with Love Training, adds, “To anyone who adopts a dog or puppy at the event, we offer follow-up training at a discount.”

“Every adopted cat or dog comes with a neuter or spay, up-to-date vaccinations, any illnesses identified and treated, implanted microchip, socialization by our staff, and follow-up advice,” says Susan. “As the ultimate adoption assurance, we guarantee that if you don’t lose your heart, your pet will be welcomed back.”
