Randal Garrison to speak at Foothills Civil War Roundtable

The Foothills Civil War Roundtable will be held on Monday, Feb. 26, 2018 in the Olin B. Sansbury, Jr. Campus Life Center Ballroom on the campus of the University of South Carolina Upstate.

Randal Garrison, lieutenant colonel of the 26th North Carolina Troops Reactivated, will present “Re-Living the Past.”

In addition to participating in Civil War reenactments, Garrison has spent the last 30 years giving battlefield tours at sites including Gettysburg, Shiloh, and Vicksburg. He has also taught English at the high school level, served as an instructor at Western Piedmont Community College, and as a professor for Lenoir Rhyne University.

The evening begins with a social and dinner beginning at 6 p.m., followed by the presentation at 7 p.m. Tickets are available for the presentation, and for the presentation plus dinner. There will also be a cash bar.
