Area sees 575 without power Tuesday

Columbus, Tryon and Landrum had 575 residences without power early Tuesday morning. The outages were scattered, with most being reported around 6 a.m. Most outages were caused by trees falling during winds. Pictured is a road closure on Skyuka Road. (By Leah Justice) (photo by Jessica Greve)
