During the month of December 2017, the Columbus Police Department answered 434 calls for service.

There were 10 misdemeanor arrests, one driving while impaired arrest and three fugitives arrested.

Officers issued 97 speeding citations, 10 no operator’s license, three drug charges, three uninsured motorists, five careless and reckless driving, 30 registration violations and three open containers.

There were a total of 9,032 premise checks completed, including 197 residence checks, 8,586 business checks and 249 church checks.

The department was requested to assist other departments 13 times, completed 575 community patrols and received a total of 40 hours in training.
