PF3 receives funding for Cost of Poverty Experience simulations

Published 2:50 pm Wednesday, January 24, 2018

Polk Fit, Fresh and Friendly (PF3) is starting the new year with exciting news. Thanks to a grant from the Polk County Community Foundation, PF3 will be offering four Cost of Poverty Experience (COPE) simulations to the community in 2018.

COPE is a training that was developed by Think Tank Inc. that offers a glimpse into the lives of low-income individuals and families living in our communities. To date, PF3 and Foothills Health Network have collaborated to provide seven simulations serving approximately 185 participants. This new funding from Polk County Community Foundation allows us to continue to offer this experience to our community.

The first COPE for 2018 is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 20 from 4-6 p.m. This event is free, but you must register to attend!
