Something Different Series presents evening of dance for the whole family

The foothills community has a unique chance to experience a wide range of dance — from classical and contemporary ballet to avant garde modern dance — in one evening on Thursday, Jan. 18 when Ballet Spartanburg’s professional company presents Década at Tryon Fine Arts Center.

Década celebrates 10 years of pushing boundaries and developing new works for ballet in the DanSynergy Series. Under the artistic direction of Carlos Agudelo, Década will include edgy new works from contemporary choreographers alongside classic dances from Swan Lake and Romeo and Juliet.

Década is presented as the latest installment in TFAC’s new Something Different Series, which seeks to bring new performers and new patrons together for an affordable, accessible evening in the arts. Tickets are available at tryonarts.org or by calling 828-859-8322.
