Michael Coy Atkins, 63, of Campobello, S.C., passed away January 7, 2018 at his home. He was the son of Mamie Rhoda Brown Atkins and the late Marvin Ivo Atkins and husband of Heather Zoe Taylor Atkins.

He was a member of First Baptist Church of Gowensville and was a self-employed salesman with Atkins and Sons.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a son, J. C. Atkins (Anna); a daughter, Rhetta Atkins and fiancé Eric West; a sister, Martha Jean Turner (Keith); a sister-in-law, Susan Hall Atkins; and two grandchildren, Allison and Lillian Atkins. He was predeceased by a brother, Joey M. Atkins.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Gowensville conducted by Rev. Chad Rickenbaker and Rev. Bruce Schmidt. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. for public viewing. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will follow after the committal in the church.
