Green Blades Garden Club: Designer Gillian Drummond on living with flowers

This Thursday, Jan. 11, at 1:30 p.m. at Tryon Fine Arts Center, the Green Blades Garden Club will host its January program, The Inspiration of Living with Flowers, featuring guest speaker Gillian Drummond of Drummond House Interiors. 

Audience members will learn how to create garden themes in their homes by incorporating color, lighting, live plants, fabric and wall coverings, even carpets. The hour long program will also feature audience questions and answers.

Ms. Drummond has lived and worked in Tryon for the past 10 years. She recently received a lifetime achievement award from Who’s Who in American Interior Designers recognizing her stellar 30-year career in New York and Connecticut. Her Tryon shop is in the Jackson Building at 12 S. Trade Street.

 Dummond says she is thrilled to share what inspires her “to bring the sanctuary, joy, and abundance of a beautiful garden into our homes and our everyday lives.”
