I cannot say thank you enough to the good people who volunteer with the Polk Emergency Equine Rescue (PEER).At a moment’s notice New Year’s Day, they came out in the freezing cold at dusk to help my horse.  They comforted him (and me), aided the veterinarian, provided physical support as was very needed and immeasurably eased my horse’s suffering.  I don’t know who else we could have called.

This county is lucky that such kind and giving people have seen a need and formed PEER.  I pray you never need them but thank goodness they are there if you do.
