Leadership training in rural economic development

Published 3:05 pm Friday, January 5, 2018

The Rural Center is now accepting applications for the 28th class of the Rural Economic Development Institute (REDI). REDI 2018 will be held March 13-15, April 10-12, and May 8-10.

Since 1989, nearly 1,200 North Carolinians have participated in REDI, the Rural Center’s annual leadership training program.

REDI addresses leadership in two ways: It helps participants enhance their skills as community leaders, and it increases their knowledge of economic and community development strategies–equipping them with the tools they need to tackle the tough issues their rural communities face.

REDI graduates become part of a larger alumni network of leaders throughout the state and have the opportunity to participate in other advanced training and continuing education opportunities.

Help us spread the word! Know a rural leader who wants to gain new skills and help their communities grow?

Application information is available online at ncruralcenter.org. The application deadline is January 15, 2018. Limited scholarships are available.
