Dance into the New Year with a stunning performance from Ballet Spartanburg at Tryon Fine Arts Center on Thursday, January 18 at 7 p.m. Ballet Spartanburg’s professional company will perform their new show Década as part of the Something Different Series. TFAC’s new series aims to offer unique, affordable performances and invite new patrons to experience the arts. With a rotating lineup of dance, drama, comedy, and more you’re truly in for Something Different. Tickets are on sale now through tryonarts.org.

Compelling visionary voices and tributes to both the classical and contemporary, Década pushes the boundaries of today’s current vocabulary of ballet with an inspiring and eclectic evening of pieces from recognizable ballets such as Swan Lake and Romeo and Juliet juxtaposed to contemporary pieces. This special performance celebrates the 10 year production of Ballet Spartanburg’s DanSynergy Series under the artistic director Carlos Agudelo.

The Something Different Series is made possible by the Kirby Innovative Events grant through the Polk County Community Foundation. More information about Something Different and other events at Tryon Fine Arts Center is available at www.tryonarts.org or by calling 828-859-8322.
