Columbus Fire Department report

During the month of November 2017, the Columbus Fire Department answered 107 calls for service.

In the Town of Columbus, the fire department answered 39 calls, including one fuel burner/boiler malfunction, one forest, woods or wildland fire, 18 medical assists, four EMS calls, three motor vehicle accidents with no injuries, one hazardous condition, one service call, one animal rescue, one public service assistance, one unauthorized burning, one dispatched and cancelled en route, two no incident found, one smoke scare, two false alarms and one citizen complaint.

In the Columbus Township, the department answered 57 calls, including 40 medical assists, one emergency medical service, one EMS call, three motor vehicle accidents with no injuries, one carbon monoxide incident, five dispatched and cancelled, one authorized controlled burning, two smoke scares, one smoke detector activation, one unintentional transmission of alarm and one smoke detector activation.

In the Green Creek Township, Columbus fire responded to one dispatched and cancelled en route.

In Lynn, the Columbus Fire Department responded to one service call.

In Mill Spring, the Columbus Fire Department responded to four calls, including one chimney or flue fire, one forest, woods or wild land fire and two medical assists.

In Saluda, the Columbus Fire Department responded to three calls, including one cover assignment, standby and two dispatched and cancelled en route.

In Saluda, the Columbus Fire Department responded to one forest, woods or wild land fire.

In Tryon, the Columbus Fire Department responded to one fire.
