Kennedy to speak on opioid crisis at Kiwanis

Josh Kennedy, director of the Consolidated Human Services Agency for Polk County, will be the guest speaker this Wednesday, Dec. 20, at the Kiwanis Club of Tryon meeting. Kennedy will discuss the national opioid crisis, how it affects Polk County and plans to combat this problem.

The luncheon meeting begins at noon, Wednesday, at the Congregational Church on Melrose Avenue in Tryon. Anyone interested in learning more about this topic or about the Kiwanis Club is invited to attend. Please call Kathy Woodham at 894-0972 to reserve a seat/lunch.
