Saluda Police Department report

During the month of November 2017, the Saluda Police Department answered 57 calls.

There were 43 state citations issued, 13 city citations, 32 warnings, five accidents, 17 welfare checks, four alarms, four open doors, 13 suspicious persons/vehicles and one vandalism.

There were seven arrests, including one on a fugitive warrant, two driving while impaired, two orders for arrest and two warrants.

Officers were involved in one check point with the N.C. Highway patrol, Columbus Police Department and Polk County Sheriff’s Office, assisted the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Columbus Police Department, the N.C. Highway Patrol and the Saluda Fire Department, checked all businesses and churches every night and patrolled 4,146 miles.
