In the belief that every child should have books to call his or her own, the Lake Adger Book Club has, for the fourth year in a row, donated a book for each child at the Columbus Children’s Center to take home. The books, “Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What Do You Hear?,” are in Spanish for the children from Spanish-speaking families or in English for the rest. As a result, all parents can read aloud to their children whatever their native language. Kate Bond, chair of the Lake Adger Book Club, presented the books to Nancy Johnson of the Children’s Center.
