Warming the View has been collecting coats and blankets since the fall to distribute to anyone in need. Fundraisers have been held throughout the county as well as drop off locations for this winter season.

Polk County Sheriff Donald Hill has continued to support the efforts this year as well as Pure Country Weavers, which has donated new blankets.

Warming the View has collected coats and blankets since 2014. The grassroots effort was started by Dee O’Brien and Lisa Moser in an effort to keep their neighbors in Sunny View warm during the winter months.

The first distribution on Saturday, Dec. 9 at McGuinn’s will be from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
