Large turnout for 2017 Toy Run

The Polk County Toy Run was one of the biggest ever with 544 motorcycle riders and 750 people participating. There were 56 bags of toys collected and $22,100 gross profits made to benefit the children of Polk County this Christmas. In comparison, last year there were 400 motorcycles, 550 people, 47 bags of toys and $16,900 in profits. The toy run began at the Saluda Fire Department Saturday morning, Nov. 25 with riders going through Tryon, Landrum, Mill Spring and Columbus and ending at the Polk County Courthouse to drop off toys and donations.
