Columbus Police Department report

During the month of October 2017, the Columbus Police Department answered 354 calls for service.

There were nine arrests, including two felony arrests, seven misdemeanor arrests and three driving while impaired arrests.

There were 171 total charges, including 86 speeding citations, eight no operator’s license, six drug charges, three uninsured motorists, 11 careless & reckless driving and 11 registration violations.

Officers completed 8,784 premise checks, including 116 residence checks, 8,424 business checks and 244 church checks.

The department assisted other agencies 12 time, completed 490 community patrols and received 40 hours of training.
