The Unity in the Community Organization recently sponsored a six-week program geared at helping the senior citizens of Polk and Landrum to keep up with the rapidly growing new age of technology. This project was held each Saturday at the Polk County Library and focused on the use of the smart phone and basic functions involving the computer and the internet. DeShane Briscoe, instructional technology facilitator for the Polk County School System, was the instructor. This program was made possible by the Polk County Community Foundation.
