Saluda Police Department report for October

During the month of October 2017, the Saluda Police Department answered 64 calls for service. There were three arrests, including one on fugitive warrants, one driving while impaired and one order for arrest.

There were 37 state citations issued, nine city citations issued, 18 warning tickets, two accidents, 17 welfare checks, two alarms, five open doors, 26 suspicious person/vehicles and one property damage.

Officers patrolled 4,211 miles, checked all businesses and churches every night, participated in two check points with the N.C. Highway Patrol, Columbus Police Department and Polk County Sheriff’s Office and assisted Polk County, Columbus, the hwy. patrol and the Saluda Fire Department.
