Early election results carry through for new Landrum City Council member

 LANDRUM – Unofficial results from the Spartanburg County Board of Elections confirmed Tuesday evening’s numbers for the re-election of Landrum City Council members Tammy Wells Cox and Billy H. Inman III. With 102 of the 105 precincts reporting in, Cox still had153 votes and Inman showed 129. Newly elected Daniel Prince edged out Randy Wohnig with 119 votes. Records showed four write in votes. 

J.R. Jackson received 147 votes for the Landrum Fire and Rescue District Area 1 Fire Commissioner. Joe E. Brown III came in second with 120. Records showed three write in votes.

In the Spartanburg School Board District 1 race, Mark Holden held on to the lead with a total of 1,382 votes. Henry Gramling was re-elected with 1,290 and Mark Rollins continues on the board with 1,178. Voting followed earlier indicators with newly elected Joel Pack and Jeff Sumner taking the other two seats. The record showed 41 write in votes for the district. 

The tax referendum was passed with not quite the two to one margin as during early reporting. Yes votes totaled 16,901 with no totaling 10,159.  

Scott C. Owens lead the Landrum Fire and Rescue District Area 2 Fire Commissioner race with 148 votes and Diana Winkler received 86 votes. There were three write in votes reported.
