Polk County High School Teacher of the Year, Ashley Gilbert, is interviewed by an anchorman from WMYA (MY40) prior to the Oct. 19 televised game between Polk and Mitchell High School. Mrs. Gilbert, a graduate of Polk County High School, is an agriculture teacher who holds this distinguished title for the 2017-18 school year. Dedicated and respected by both her peers and students alike, Mrs. Gilbert continues to inspire her students by enhancing their awareness and appreciation for the agriculture industry.
