Appearing in her first show for Tryon Little Theater, Tara Sweeney hails from Greenville. She’s no novice to the theater, however, having trained at Winthrop University and the Warehouse Theater. Adding to her stage repertoire, she has also taken on film and TV roles.

Sweeney plays Rosemary Muldoon in “Outside Mullingar,” TLT’s upcoming play. It was the lure of appearing in a Shanley play that made her audition for the part.

“And I’m so glad I did,” she says. “Here we are weeks into rehearsal, and I’m still pretty wooed by it all – Tryon, my cast and crew – every rehearsal is worth the drive. There’s so much in this play to love.  We crack up at least once a night!”

“Outside Mullingar” is directed by Catherine Gillet, and opens Nov. 9 for two weekends at the TLT Workshop, 516 S. Trade St., Tryon. Be sure to visit www.tltinfo.org for tickets, or call 828-859-2466.  The ticket office opens Nov. 2, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
