Rolling Art Car, Truck & Motorcycle Show will be held Nov. 4

Bring your prize vehicle – antique or new- to the Rolling Art Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show being held Saturday, Nov. 4, at Thompson’s Landscaping & Stone Garden Gallery at 83 Palmer St. in Tryon. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the event runs from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. with judging at 1 p.m. To preregister your car, truck or motorcycle email 

The 1934 Rolls-Royce model 20/25 in the photo won first place in the People’s Choice Best Car category in 2016. The beautiful dark green Rolls-Royce complete with onboard tool kit is always a favorite with our spectators. The car belongs to Richard and Lynn Coombs of Columbus. It was built for a doctor in London who was a member of Parliament. The Coombs bought it at Coys Auctions in London in 2001. 

The Rolling Art Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show is free. Advanced registration is requested. Email (Put in both ts) Ten awards will be presented including People’s Choice first, second, and third for Best Car, Best Truck, and Best Motorcycle plus a Sponsor’s Best of Show Award. Participants and spectators are asked to bring a donation of non-perishable food for the Thermal Belt Outreach Ministry.

There will be coffee and food available. The Tryon Beer Fest will also take place that afternoon at the Depot so spectators can attend both events and support our town activities.
