Polk County Middle School will hold an open house for parents and guardians on Oct. 24 at 6:30 p.m.

The evening will start with a meeting for parents/guardians in the auditorium for approximately 20 minutes with an update on school events and sharing school philosophy and goals for the year.

After the meeting, parents will meet with their children’s academic teachers. The teachers will share information regarding the curriculum and activities. This presentation will last approximately 30 minutes.

After meeting with the teachers, students will be able to share with their parents/guardians work that has been done in classes. Also during this time, exploratory teachers will be available in classrooms for students to show their activities that have been accomplished.

The school’s annual book fair is also set for that week and will be open to parents/guardians and students before the meeting in the auditorium from 6-6:25 p.m. and also at the conclusion of the open house activities until 8 p.m. All proceeds go directly back to the media center to benefit students.
