Polk County Middle School counselors are promoting Take A STAND for Anti-Bullying Month during the month of October. STAND is an acronym for Show good character, Treat everyone with kindness, respect and dignity, Always report bullying, Never bully others and Do your best to help anyone who is bullied. One of the activities during Anti-Bullying Month is offering students an opportunity to sign a pledge stating they would Take A Stand at PCMS. Eighth Grade Peer Helpers, including Chan Barber, Nathalie Ramirez and Kanye Staley pictured above, assisted students with signing the pledge during lunches. (Submitted by PolkStudents.com)
