Polk County junior Morgan Stott earned all-conference honors Monday during the Western Highlands Conference golf tournament at Grassy Creek Golf and Country Club in Spruce Pine.

Stott placed sixth in the tournament, earning the final available all-WHC slot. She posted a score of 61-59–120 for the day, closing with bogeys on the final two holes to maintain a two-shot edge over Avery’s Addison Rudicile for sixth.

Avery’s Ellie Pittman won the event with a score of 91.

Stott is in just her second season of playing the sport. She was the only member of Polk County’s team this season.
