Shooting incident in Green Creek was self-inflicted

GREEN CREEK-The Polk County Sheriff’s Office investigated a shooting Wednesday night in Green Creek.

The shooting occurred around 8:40 p.m. on Oct. 11 when a woman was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound.

The shooting was a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to the sheriff’s office, and the 21-year-old victim is deceased.
