Polk County District Court results

In Polk County District Court on Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017, with Judge Peter Knight presiding, 202 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Ardries Abraham was convicted of possession of alcoholic beverage on restricted property. Abraham was fined $50 and court costs.

Francisco J. Alvarenga was convicted of level five driving while impaired and simple possession of schedule VI controlled substance. Alvarenga was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.

Zakary Blake Born was convicted of rear seat belt violation. Born was fined $50.

Mary Sarah Fleischer was convicted of driving while license revoked-not impaired revocation. Fleischer was sentenced to three days in jail.

Spencer Allen Garner was convicted of level two driving while impaired. Garner was sentenced to 24 months supervised probation, seven days in jail, a $200 fine and court costs.

Griffin Kazenski Gary was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Gary was fined $40.

Douglas James Harrell was convicted of deposit litter in public water. Harrell was fined $50 and court costs.

Rico Tionte Harris was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Harris was fined $40 and court costs.

Philip Brian Hicks was convicted of possession of methamphetamine. Hicks was sentenced to 24 months supervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.

Franklin Delano McKaig was convicted of level five driving while impaired. McKaig was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.

Connie April Painter was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce. Painter was fined $50 and court costs.

Ronda Carol Simon was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Simon was fined $40 and court costs.

Jinsey Rayne Towery was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce. Towery was fined $75 and court costs.

Michael Walsh was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Walsh was fined $40 and court costs.

Amanda Lynn Whitney was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce. Whitney was fined $50 and court costs.

 

In Polk County District Court on Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2017, with Judge Athena F. Brooks presiding, 93 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Winifred Jenkin Allen was convicted of rear seat belt violation. Allen was fined $50.

Colin Raymond Bero was convicted of level two driving while impaired. Bero was sentenced to one year supervised probation, 10 days in jail, a $250 fine and court costs.

Layne C. Christensen was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Christensen was fined $40 and court costs.

Sara Elizabeth Crews was convicted of failure to appear on misdemeanor. Crews was to pay court costs.

Nathan Wally Cross was convicted of misdemeanor probation violation. Cross’ probation was terminated.

Maria E. Kachadoorian was convicted of level four driving while impaired. Kachadoorian was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 48 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.

Dalvin S. Littlejohn was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Littlejohn was fined $40 and court costs.

Chucky Tyron McEntyre was convicted of possession of methamphetamine. McEntyre was sentenced to 18 months supervised probation and court costs.

Mark Ellis Parker was convicted of failure to appear on misdemeanor. Parker was to pay court costs.

David Coatsworth Rowe was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Rowe was fined $40 and court costs.

Joshua Terrence Ruff was convicted of misdemeanor larceny. Ruff was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for time served.

Lynn Lee Sherri was convicted of possession of schedule II controlled substance, two counts of maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/place for a controlled substance and sell/deliver schedule II controlled substance. Sherri was sentenced to two years supervised probation and court costs.

David M. Spencer was convicted of simple possession of schedule VI controlled substance. Spencer was fined $100 and court costs.

Timothy Edward Watkins was convicted of level one driving while impaired and driving while license revoked-impaired revocation. Watkins was sentenced to 18 months in jail for driving while impaired and 120 days in jail for driving while license revoked.

Stephane N. Whitmire was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Whitmire was fined $40 and court costs.
