Thermal Belt Outreach Ministry hosts free food distribution Oct. 13
MANNA FoodBank will be providing a large delivery of seasonal fresh produce via the MANNA Express truck to Thermal Belt Outreach Ministry to support their regular food distribution. This distribution is open to all area residents in need of food to help balance their grocery budget. In Polk County, more than 16 percent of residents live below the poverty line; 1 in 7 people, and 1 in 4 children, don’t have access to three square meals a day.
MANNA’s Nutrition WORKS team will also be on hand for the distribution, offering healthy cooking demonstrations and providing recipe cards to interested residents.
This event is free and open to the public. Thermal Belt Outreach Ministry is located at 134 White Oak Dr. in Columbus.
