It’s that time of the year again! If you’re a reader who loves to shop for bargains, the Friends of Polk County Public Libraries fall book sale is the place for you! The sale will be open to the public at the Columbus Library on Thursday, Oct. 12 from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.; Friday, Oct. 13 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.; and Saturday, Oct. 14 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Those who are already Friends of the Library members or those who would like to join will have first choice at a special preview sale on Wednesday, Oct. 11 from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. The Friends of the Library welcome new members so they can expand the assistance they provide to Polk County Public Libraries. Please join the organization to celebrate and enhance reading and literacy in our community. You can support library programs, participate in book clubs, and help with book sales!

Books, DVDs, and CDs withdrawn from the library or donated by the community will be sold. A bag sale is from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 14. Starting at noon on Saturday, selected books will be given away for free.
