Elea Lindsey Williams

Elea Lindsey Williams, 88, passed away on Monday, Oct. 2, 2017 at the Hospice House of Rutherford County.

She was born to the late William and Montie Bishop Lindsey. Elea worked as a licensed practical nurse and had a passion for helping others. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, and loving on her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Elea attended Mud Creek Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Surviving is her husband of 66 years, Howard Williams; a daughter, Rhonda Hudson (Jeff) of Hendersonville, N.C.; a son, Sam Williams (Debra) of Forest City, N.C.; and a sister-in law, Lorena Brown of Ohio. Also surviving are three grandsons, Jonathan Williams, Joshua Williams, and Seth Hudson; four great grandsons, and another great grandson on the way.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2017 from 2 – 2:45 p.m. at McFarland Funeral Chapel, Tryon, N.C.

A graveside service will be held at Polk Memorial Gardens, Columbus, N.C. at 3 p.m. following the visitation. Dr. Ethan Brown will be officiating.
