Pesticide container collection day Oct. 11

On Wednesday, Oct. 11, the North Carolina Department of Agriculture in partnership with the Polk County Cooperative Extension Center will sponsor a pesticide container collection day. Any North Carolina resident with unwanted or outdated pesticide containers can drop off leftover products. The collection site will be at the Polk County Cooperative Extension, 79 Carmel Lane in Columbus. Personnel will be on hand from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on that date.
