Sheriff’s office: Green Creek man delivered meth to undercover officers

GREEN CREEK-The Polk County Sheriff’s Office said a Green Creek man recently delivered methamphetamine to undercover officers and was arrested, along with a woman who also lives at the home.

Chucky Tyrone McEntyre, 46, of 1104 Solen Williams Rd., Tryon, was arrested and charged with maintaining a place for a controlled substance, possession with the intent to manufacture, sell, deliver a schedule II controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana up ½ ounce, simple possession of a schedule III controlled substance, simple possession of a schedule II controlled substance, possession of a stolen firearm and numerous other drug charges, according to arrest records.

Colleen Pelz, 41, also of 1104 Solen Williams Rd., Tryon, was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine as well as other drug charges, according to sheriff reports.

On Sept. 19, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office PACE (Polk Aggressive Criminal Enforcement) Team conducted an undercover operation in Green Creek. The sheriff’s office said McEntyre delivered methamphetamine to undercover officers and had a firearm stolen out of Spartanburg County, S.C. in his possession.

The sheriff’s office investigations team and patrol division assisted the PACE Team officers and conducted a search warrant at the residence. Several drugs were found at the residence, according to the sheriff’s office, including methamphetamine, opiates and marijuana.

As of Monday, Sept. 25, McEntyre was being held at the Polk County Jail under a $42,000 bond. Pelz had been released on bond.
