Polk arrests Mill Spring man on meth and firearm charges

MILL SPRING – The Polk County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Mill Spring man earlier this month for possessing methamphetamine and a stolen firearm, according to sheriff reports.

Phillip Hicks, 45, of 1132 Rock Creek Rd., Mill Spring, was arrested and charged with maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/place for a controlled substance, possession of stolen goods/property, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, possession of stolen firearm, possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of methamphetamine, according to reports.

The sheriff’s office PACE (Polk Aggressive Criminal Enforcement) Team developed information and on Sept. 5 served a search warrant at Hicks’ residence, according to the sheriff’s office.

The investigation and search resulted in the seizure of methamphetamine and a firearm that was stolen out of Polk County.

As of Monday, Sept. 25, Hicks was still being held under a $30,000 bond.
