Curtis R. Hutcherson, 98, of Columbus passed away on Sept. 24, 2017.

He was the son of the late John and Nora Stott Hutcherson and husband of the late Gladys Horton Hutcherson.

He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and was retired from Milliken.

He is survived by three daughters, Betty J. Price of Mill Spring, N.C., Margaret Harrington of New Zion, S.C., and Brenda Deck of Rutherfordton, N.C.; a son, Kenneth Hutcherson of Nebo, N.C.; 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1:30-3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017 at Emmanuel Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. at the church conducted by Rev. Brian Wilson and Rev. Hubert Street. Burial will be in Peniel Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family is at the home of Brenda Deck.
