Classic cars come to Tryon

Tryon Classic Car Club will be hosting its Fall Cruise-In on Friday, Sept. 22 beside the train tracks in Tryon.
Cruise-Ins are a great way to informally gather as a gearhead community. (We used to say “car guys,” but for lack of a better gender-neutral term, and to recognize those women who are devoted to the classic-car hobby we identify as “gearheads”).
It’s an opportunity to hang out and share our cars without all the formality and judging of a ‘Car Show.’ It doesn’t matter if it’s still a work in progress or it’s the Corvette you bought last year, all are invited to participate.
This year’s Fall Cruise-In is open to classic cars (25+ years old), sports cars and limited-production automobiles. Pickup trucks are welcome. People are invited to park their ride along the tracks from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
We ask participants to be respectful of Trade Street’s crosswalks and to leave unmuffled cars at home.
