Blues artist makes his Tryon debut
The popular Stage Door Series continues with Peter Karp performing in the backstage space of the Veh Stage at Tryon Fine Arts Center on Tuesday, Sept. 19 at 7 p.m.
Singer-songwriter, guitarist and pianist Peter Karp has carved out his own unique niche, raised both in the swamps of New Jersey and trailer parks in southern Alabama. That will leave a mark. Karp masterfully crafts music fueled with a Yankee-Rebel juxtaposition by infusing genuine emotion, humor and candor.
“Guys like Peter Karp, James Taylor and Bob Dylan embody Americana Blues, and us English guys are inspired by it,” says Mick Taylor of The Rolling Stones.
Peter Karp will perform in the backstage space of the Veh Stage, presented by Tryon Fine Arts Center’s Stage Door Series. All additional donations at the door will support the artist. More information about Tryon Fine Arts Center and the Stage Door series is available at tryonarts.org.
