Community youth stands to gain when area golfers compete in the 11th annual Bob Silvia Memorial Golf Tournament at the Cummings Cove Golf and Country Club on Thursday, September 28.
Silvia left a legacy of helping community youth move through difficult times. Participating golfers will be sustaining the Silvia tradition of helping such youth. Tournament proceeds support the Youth Mediation Program of the Mediation Center.
The Mediation Center serves four counties: Buncombe, Henderson, Polk, and Transylvania. The scenic Cummings Cove golf course is located at 925 Lakeledge Court in Hendersonville.
The tournament features 18 holes of golf, prizes for top teams, a special women’s division, boxed lunch, and dinner at the Carolina Bistro.
Registration and putting green opportunities begin at 11 a.m. and the tournament gets underway at 12:30 p.m.
Participants may register or purchase a hole sponsorship online at BobSilviaGolf2017.eventbrite.com. More information is available by calling 828 251-6089, ext. 210, or by email: info@mediatewnc.org.
