Acoustic duo Freewheelin’ Mamas to perform at FENCE

Foothills Equestrian Nature Center offers another concert in their free family concert series this month on Sunday, Sept. 10 at 4 p.m. The concert will take place in the great room at FENCE and is offered free to the public. Following the performance, refreshments will be served.

Freewheelin’ Mamas is a female acoustic duo with elements of bluegrass, country, jazz, gospel, and blues throughout their performances. Sarah Easterling and Christina Chandler have been singing together now for four years, and each piece they deliver is saturated with masterful harmonies and layers of stringed and percussive instrumentation. What began as one guitar and loads of vocals has evolved into an eclectic array of musical tools including banjo, ukulele, guitar, djembe, and assorted rhythmic gadgets.

Freewheelin’ Mamas is working on an EP with a mixture of originals and arrangements of some favorite covers, with plans to complete an album by early 2018.
