Building each other up through Snapchat

Published 4:21 pm Tuesday, September 5, 2017

For the month of September, the first full month of school, Steps to HOPE has placed bulletin boards at Polk County High School and at Polk County Middle School encouraging students to build each other up with a Snapchat theme. Snapchat is a very popular phone app that most students use daily to communicate with one another and build and maintain a “streak” through daily conversation.

Bulletin boards are placed in each school each month as a community outreach project and to encourage healthy relationships in the lives of students. The goal is to provide a positive message to students (and faculty) and to give contact information for anyone who might need services. Steps to HOPE is the domestic violence and sexual assault treatment and prevention center located in Columbus serving Western NC and Upstate SC. If you or someone you know is being abused, or if you wish to sponsor programs like this, please call 828-894-2340.
